Into Creative and Viv Loves Film partner to bring distinctive and global voices to audiences across transmedia platforms including screen and stage
Brighton-based literary and entertainment company Viv Loves Film is delighted to announce a new partnership with Scottish indie powerhouse Into Creative, marking a significant move to represent Into Creative’s fiction and non-fiction titles for film, television and adaptation rights worldwide.
From darkly comic thrillers to gothic island mysteries, Into’s publishing arm (Into Books) is a growing home for compelling, character-driven stories with international reach and cinematic flair. Under this new collaboration, Viv Loves Film will explore screen opportunities for selected titles, working closely with authors and creatives to build bespoke adaptation strategies.
The slate includes And Other Stories by David Quantick… a genre-melding collection of curious fictions from the Emmy-winning writer of Veep and The Thick of It; Prendergast’s Fall by David Cameron… a two-directional existential novel following a man’s mid-air unravelling, which reads as both tragedy and possibility; The River by Craig A. Smith… a sweeping Scottish epic tracing love, loss and political awakenings through seven decades; and two arresting works from George Paterson… Westerwick, a macabre urban-gothic mystery set between Glasgow and a fictional Hebridean isle, and The Girl, The Crow, The Writer And The Fighter, a high-concept literary thriller intertwining Henry Miller, Sonny Liston and a bequest that spans oceans and eras.
Also joining the slate is Brodie by Gillian Shirreffs… a poignant and playful tale told from the perspective of a single beloved object, which connects six women across three decades of life, love and literary inheritance.
Emma Topping, Founder and CEO of Viv Loves Film, commented:
There’s a quiet, crackling voltage running through the Into Creative list… something between noir and nostalgia, intellect and instinct. These books aren’t chasing trends; they’re building worlds. We’re excited to be working with the Into team to bring these stories off the page and into new imaginative realms.
Stephen Cameron, Founder and Publisher at Into Creative, added:
We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Viv Loves Film on this exciting journey. Emma and her team feel like precisely the right fit for Into. We are looking forward with eager anticipation to seeing adaptation opportunities that reflect the quality of our titles. Into loves Viv Loves Film!”
